ELGMS 8th Grade Forward Testing Schedule
Parents & Students,
It's important for all 8th graders to do well on the upcoming Wisconsin Forward Exam.
During the testing schedule, remember to eat a healthy breakfast, pack a nutritious snack, bring a water bottle, and get a good night's sleep. Each student is also required to have a personal set of headphones for testing! Chromebooks need to be fully charged at the start of each school day.

Congratulations to Our ELGMS Patriot's Pen Finalists
Congratulations to ELGMS Patriot's Pen Writing Contest Finalists!
As an opportunity offered by their ELA teachers, the following students entered the Veterans of Foreign Wars Patriots Pen Writing Contest in October. ELGMS entries placed first through fourth place among almost 107 entries in Sheboygan County. They were honored at an awards dinner hosted by members of the VFW and the Women's Auxilary on Monday, February 27th at VFW Post #9156 in Sheboygan. Congratulations to the following ELGMS students, who were also gifted special certificates, pins, and pens in addition to generous monetary prizes: sixth grader Madison Griepentrog placed fourth/awarded $25; eighth grader Ethan Heier placed third/awarded $250; eighth grader Hannah De Vries placed second/awarded $375, and eighth grader Karissa Entringer placed first/awarded $600.
As the first place winner, Karissa had the privilege of reading her award-winning essay entry to those in attendance. Her thoughtful and personal tribute to our nation's veterans not only appropriately honored our country's heroes by expressing "The America I Believe In", but also represented Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Schools well.
Special congratulations on a job well done by each of these ELGMS students!
